Youth and young adult ministry is the heart of the Church. In teaching young people different ways to grow in their relationship with the Lord, we help them prepare to serve Christ in all they do. As a result, this nurtures the congregations and helps the churches to flourish. God uses us all to serve the greater community and the world. Youth and young adult ministry incorporates all other ministries. We encourage our students and families to find what they are passionate about and find a ministry to partner with to change the world. It is also a goal of the Youth Ministry Office to connect, support, and be a resource for all those who work with families across the diocese. Youth and young adult ministry is all about creating a balance between fun activities and providing opportunities for exploration of faith, the Bible, leadership, and building relationship. This presents itself in many forms: planning meetings, Bible studies, retreats, service trips, camps, concerts, and Sunday worship. It all comes down to building safe communities.
